Full Stack Developer

Reporting to the Head of Software Development, the Full Stack Software Developer will form part of a team of developers implementing the company’s software products. This is a role intended to augment and support other developers according to the workload and project requirements. Your duties include programming across a number of modern technologies, predominantly Go Lang, Vue.js, C#(.NET), MongoDB, and SQL Server. You are also required to perform devops as required including the use of the latest Linux distributions and Windows Server. You will also be required to continuously research and gain knowledge in emerging technologies. Your responsibilities also include the participation in the planning and coordination of project related activities.

Your duties also include

• Programming of microservices using GoLang
• Programming web front end in Vue.js
• Build reusable and testable code
• Analyze software requirements and designs unit tests
• Maintain descriptive technical documentation
• Manage the Infrastructure required by the Software your team develops
• Ensure the timely delivery and quality of deliverables
•  Escalate unresolved problems and other important matters in a timely manner to the HoSD
• Participate in team meetings to assist in work related problems
• Maintain a Continuous Integration based workflow
• Ensure software products are developed securely
• Accountable for the on time and quality delivery of software development projects
• Ensure all production issues are dealt with within the Service Level agreements

Your background

• A minimum of 2 years programming experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Language
• Knowledge of either Golang or Vue.js or a similar language
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture & HTTP
• Developed scripts for SQL & NOSQL data management systems
• Experience using GIT, Jira and Linux
• Knowledge of RabbitMQ, Docker & AWS
